Blueberry Powder Blue - Pre order
Robinsons
$20.00
Blueberry ‘Powder Blue’ (Rabbiteye) produces abundant clusters of firm, light blue berries with a deliciously sweet flavour. For larger fruit, thinning the clusters during development is recommended. Its attractive creamy-white flowers, tinged with pink, add ornamental value in spring.
This variety is well-suited to all regions of New Zealand and features a strong, upright growth habit—making it ideal for both garden beds and containers. While ‘Powder Blue’ is self-fertile, planting alongside other varieties such as Rahi can significantly boost yields.
Like all blueberries, ‘Powder Blue’ offers outstanding health benefits—from supporting brain and heart health to improving skin, bone strength, blood pressure, and even reducing cancer risk.
Fruit ripens from January through March. For the best flavour, allow berries to remain on the plant for 5–7 days after they’ve turned blue. Plant in full sun for optimal production, though it will tolerate some afternoon shade. Prune to remove dead, weak, or diseased wood, and after 4–5 years, cut out older branches at the base to encourage strong new growth.
Delivery after the 20th July 2025.
