Small batches, ready in the right season!
We're doing seedlings a little differently.
Rather than keeping a nursery full of plants waiting to be bought, we'll release small batches of what's ready each week — from vegetables and herbs to tomatoes, flowers and perennial edibles.
Most of our edible seedlings are grown by us from seed here in Cambridge using organic growing methods.*
We like to make the most of what we already have — reusing and recycling pots and containers where we can, and moving towards simple, plastic-free packaging wherever possible.
But when they're gone, they're gone — but there's always something else growing.

How the Plant Drops work
Thursday 6pm
The week's Plant Drop goes live.
We'll share exactly what's available, including varieties, quantities and prices.
Choose what you'd like and submit your order through our simple online order form.
Friday evening
Orders close.
We'll check your order against the week's available stock and send you an order confirmation and Xero invoice.
Your invoice will include your available payment options, including bank payment and card payment where available.
No payment is taken when you submit your order form.
Monday
Plant Day!
Paid orders are carefully packed and sent on their way.
Depending on your location and what's available for that week's Drop, you'll be able to choose from:
Cambridge collection • Local delivery • Courier delivery
Available delivery options and costs will be shown when you order.
Why plant drops?
We grow in small batches and sow regularly throughout the season.
That means we don't have hundreds of finished plants sitting around waiting to be bought — and we don't need every variety to be ready at exactly the same time.
Instead, the plants decide when they're ready.
If the tomatoes need another week, they get another week.
If the cucumbers suddenly decide it's time to take over the world, they'll probably be in the next Drop.
And if we only have six of something?
There are six.
This helps us reduce waste, grow a much wider range of interesting varieties and work with the seasons rather than against them.
What will you find
Vegetable seedlings, herbs, tomatoes, chillies, capsicums, flowers, perennial edibles and the occasional garden plant.
Some will be familiar favourites. Others will be varieties that are a little harder to find.
And yes, a frankly ridiculous number of tomato varieties are coming. 🍅
A quick note about our seedlings 🌱
Seedling Cluster = several seedlings together, ready to gently separate and plant individually.
Planting Clump = several plants grown together and intended to be planted as one clump.
