For the Love of Gardening

🌱 Hi, I’m Rebecca—home gardener, storyteller, and the heart behind Love Grow Eat.

The revival of the kitchen garden and the home gardener feels like coming home. It takes me back to childhood days when corn grew sky‑high, our little dog Penny sneaked French beans, sheep broke free to munch their way through the veggie patch, and Dad waged tennis‑racket battles against white butterflies. Chickens scratched for bugs while gifting us fresh eggs, and at just nine years old I grew statice flowers to sell to a local décor store. From then on, gardening became my lifelong source of peace, joy, and playful adventure.

In today’s world—where food security, technology shifts, and global challenges loom—there’s something profoundly grounding about growing even some of our own food. Sharing a meal made from the garden with my family reminds me that nourishment can be simple, honest, and deeply fulfilling.

The past two years pulled me into full‑time work, leaving little energy for my passions. But that pause became an awakening. I realized I missed the community of home gardeners, the conversations, and the shared delight of swapping tips and harvests. So here I am, back with renewed energy and a bigger vision.

🌿 Love Grow Eat is more than a garden service—it’s a movement. We nurture the soil with organic methods, grow nutrient‑dense fruits and vegetables, and celebrate the beauty of meals shared with friends and family. It’s a place for inspiration, practical tips, and renter‑friendly ideas that make gardening accessible to everyone. I believe a kitchen garden should be both functional and beautiful—a space where design, tools, and nature work in harmony.

From tidy‑ups to winter veggie prep, from compost tea to creative DIY guides, Love Grow Eat is here to help gardens—and gardeners—thrive.

Join me in Cambridge, Waikato, as we fill our bellies with homegrown goodness and rediscover the joy of living seasonally, sustainably, and together.
